Bill Belichick Thinks The SEC Is The Best Conference In The Country
It appears that Bill Belichick is on an SEC Pro Day tour.
Yesterday it was Alabama.
Today it’s Georgia.
I know he’s old friends with Nick Saban and everything and that’s why he was wearing Bama gear. But I think it’s only fair to draw the conclusions that Bill Belichick thinks the SEC is the best conference in the country.
Listen, I’m just putting 2+2 together. He’s not sending scouts to these Pro Days so he can enjoy the off-season, he’s going himself. He obviously thinks it’s worthy of his presence. The GOAT doesn’t waste any time. Anybody see him when free agency hit? He was lounging around with Linda Holliday in Barbados. He didn’t give a fuck.
HOWEVER… he’s damn sure taking the time to travel to SEC Country. Tuscaloosa. Athens. And who knows what the next stop is?? I mean he has a house in Jupiter. That’s a short 3.5 hour drive to Gainsville on the Florida Turnpike. He could make a day-trip out of it!
For the record, I like those towns. Spent many days in them back in my ESPN days. But they’re college towns. I can promise you that Bill would much rather be a million other places than deep in the heart of the South during the NFL off-season. But nope, he’s there because he knows the SEC is king. He’s just trying to see who can help him win the Pats #7 in February.
Plus, just check out the Pats recent draft picks. Very SEC Heavy. Checks out 1000%.
(PS – According to Forbes: The SEC’s had 512 draft picks between 2007 and 2017. The ACC was second with 383, followed by the Big Ten (360), Pac-12 (350) and Big 12 (276). Try and keep up, folks.)
And for good measure, I asked NBC Sports Boston’s Patriots genius/expert Tom E. Curran if there was anybody specifically that he was looking at Alabama…
There you have it folks. Bill Belichick thinks the SEC is the best conference in the country. He doesn’t have to say it. Actions speak louder than words. You didn’t see him in Norman last week. Just sayin.
